I drew each frame of animation onto individual notecards to perform this animation test for the short film Doodle.
Doodle Animation Part 1: This digital animation is a component of a full live action short film in which the character is composited onto a notecard.
In this sequence Doodle comes to life, attempts to get the human characters attention, realizes he can move the notecard, and makes a heroic jump over a gap in the desk.
Lunar Perspective | Short Film
All drawn on paper within a few hours in my early stages of learning hand drawn animation. Just had fun making this one up as it went 🙂
Doodle Animation Part 2: This digital animation is a component of a full live action short film in which the character is composited onto a notecard.
In this sequence Doodle lands the jump, turns the notecard, and knocks books off of the desk.
Doodle Animation Part 3: This digital animation is a component of a full live action short film in which the character is composited onto a notecard.
In this sequence Doodle runs away from the human, and gets the idea to fold the notecard into a paper airplane.
A breakdown of one of my first animation tests!
Black Holes are cool. Period.
Created in After Effects
I painted each individual frame of this animation to test a concept. Would love to make a full short film with individual painting one day…
